Greaves Motorsport signs Elton Julian, Ricardo Gonzalez and Christian Zugel for World Endurance Championship

Greaves Zytek-Nissan, Le Mans 2011Greaves Motorsport has announced American Le Mans Series regulars Elton Julian, Ricardo Gonzalez and Christian Zugel as the drivers for its World Endurance Championship Zytek-Nissan LMP2 programme.

The move means there is no space in its WEC line-up for its 2011 star driver Tom Kimber-Smith, who has been retained for Greaves' Le Mans Series LMP2 title defence but will not race with the team in the Le Mans 24 Hours or WEC.

Gonzalez won the ALMS' LMPC class title last year alongside Gunnar Jeanette at CORE Autosport, while Zugel and sometime Formula 1 test driver Julian were team-mates in the Genoa LMPC operation.

"It's a real pleasure to continue racing with Christian Zugel for a third year, together we have achieved everything possible in the LMPC class," said Julian. "So, moving up to LMP2 is a natural progression.

"Joining a team like Greaves Motorsport, partnering with Ricardo and returning to Le Mans makes me the luckiest guy in the paddock."

Greaves had already announced Kimber-Smith and Alex Brundle as its LMS line-up, with the latter's father Martin joining the team for Le Mans.
