World Touring Car BMWs get weight increase for Macau finale

The turbocharged BMWs in the World Touring Car Championship will run at equal weight to the Chevrolets in the series finale in Macau next weekend.
As part of the championship's regular compensation weight performance balancing programme, both the BMW 320TCs and Chevrolet Cruze 1.6Ts will run at the maximum +40kg for the last rounds of 2011, a 20kg rise for the BMWs.
The increase is as a result of Colin Turkington's rapid times in the Wiechers BMW in recent rounds - although the former British Touring Car champion has been replaced at Wiechers Sport by Gary Kwok for Macau.
ROAL's Tom Coronel, and Engstler owner/driver Franz Engstler are the only men to have won in BMWs this year, with Turkington, Kristian Poulsen (Engstler), Norbert Michelisz (Zengo Dension), Javier Villa (Proteam) and Turkington getting BMWs on the podium.
