The Nurburgring will remain on the DTM calendar until at least 2014 after signing a new three-year agreement with the championship.
The German Grand Prix venue was listed as a 'TBC' on a provisional 2012 calendar published by the DTM in September, and has now been rubber-stamped by championship organiser the ITR.
"For a long time now the DTM - as the most popular international touring car series - has [been] established as one of the Nurburgring's motor racing season highlights," said Nurburgring Automotive Group shareholders Jorg Linder and Kai Richter.
Both added that the ongoing political issues surrounding the circuit had no effect on the deal and that signing it was simply a matter of course.
The DTM has visited the Nurburgring every season since its inception in 1984.
