Sarah Fisher Racing will return to a two-car line-up for the IndyCar Series finale at Las Vegas, fielding Tomas Scheckter alongside team regular Ed Carpenter.
The outing will be Scheckter's fourth IndyCar start of the year. He appeared in an SH Racing entry co-run by KV Racing Technology at Indianapolis and co-run by Dreyer & Reinbold in Baltimore, and also drove for the latter squad at Loudon as a substitute for the injured Justin Wilson.
"I got a call from Sarah a while back, and to be quite honest, with the way their cars have been running this year, this was an opportunity that was hard to pass up," said Scheckter.
"Sarah has done a great job and I'm proud to be part of the team. I've really enjoyed working with Ed in the past, and I'm looking forward to Vegas."
SFR ran a two-car operation on several occasions last year, but Carpenter has been its only driver this season. He qualified in the top 10 at Indianapolis and Texas, although his best finishes for Fisher's squad to date are a trio of 11th places.
