Eurosport to broadcast four Rally of Scotland stages live

Kris Meeke, Peugeot UK, Scotland 2010Eurosport has confirmed it will show live coverage of four stages of next month's Rally of Scotland, the penultimate round of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge.

Both runs through the Errochty test on Saturday (October 8) and High Corrie on Sunday (October 9) will be broadcast live on Eurosport. The station will provide thorough coverage with stage-side cameras filming the action along with on-board and helicopter footage.

IRC motorsport development director Jean-Pierre Nicolas is a big fan of the Scottish stages. The Frenchman said: "Errochty is a model stage: fast, quite wide, flowing with a perfect surface. High Corrie is very tricky and technical with lots of possibilities to make mistakes. The action will be spectacular."

The first run through Errochty will be on air from 1200 until 1300, with the re-run of the stage running into twilight between 1730 and 1830. Sunday's High Corrie test is 1100 until 1200 and 1345 until 1445.

As well as the live action, Eurosport will also screen delayed footage of the stages and a review of the whole event in the following week. Close to 80 million people watched coverage of the IRC in 2010.
