World Rally Championship leader Sebastien Loeb has rolled out of day one of Rally Australia on the morning's second stage.
The reigning champion had been quickest on SS3, the first fully-fledged stage after Thursday's superspecials, to take a two-second lead over his Citroen team-mate Sebastien Ogier.
But a few kilometres into the following Brooklana stage, Loeb rolled his car and has had to retire from the leg. Loeb and co-driver Daniel Elena are both unhurt.
They began the event with a 25-point championship lead over Ogier, who now leads the rally over Ford's Mikko Hirvonen.
