Pippa Mann has been withdrawn from the New Hampshire IndyCar race by the Rahal Letterman Lanigan team after a heavy crash during practice.
After needing a medical crew to remove her from the wrecked Dallara, the 28-year-old Briton was taken to the nearby Concord Hospital. Precautionary X-rays of her neck and a CT scan both proved negative, but she was unable to take part in qualifying.
She will now undergo a final tests in Indianapolis on Monday to assess her fitness.
"Pippa worked very hard this weekend and we are hoping for a speedy recovery and a return to the Rahal Letterman Lanigan car," said RLL co-owner Bobby Rahal.
