Webber, Michael join charity to help Leigh Adams

Leigh AdamsMark Webber and Williams technical director Sam Michael have joined forces to help raise funds for injured speedway rider Leigh Adams through a special charity auction.

Adams, a ten-time Australian Speedway Champion and multiple World Speedway GP winner, is currently recovering from serious injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident last month.

Webber and Michael have worked together with journalist Norbert Ockenga to help secure exclusive motor racing lots for the auction.

Items up for bidding, the proceeds of which will go to the Leigh Adams Rehab Fund, include a signed Red Bull Racing rear wing endplate, a signed Williams rear wing, paddock passes for the Belgian Grand Prix, tours of the Williams factory and a ride in a Porsche SuperCup car.

Further details about the auction can be found here.

Speaking about the auction, Michael said: "Everything in the auction will be extremely appealing to F1 fans.

"We have managed to get hold of signed car parts, factory tours and race weekend experiences. Everything has been kindly donated by various companies and individuals throughout the motor racing fraternity and all of the proceeds will go towards the Leigh Adams rehabilitation programme."
