Adam Carroll eyes Motegi IndyCar outing with Andretti Autosport

Adam Carroll 2009

Adam Carroll could make his return to IndyCar racing at Motgei later this year with Andretti Autosport, according to this week's AUTOSPORT magazine.

Carroll contested two IndyCar races last year in an Andretti Autosport/AFS entry at Watkins Glen and Mid-Ohio, and is now eying a Motegi race drive with Michael Andretti's team.

"Andretti Autosport is where I want to be, and I'm working flat-out to make it happen," he told AUTOSPORT. "I'm working on a sponsor at the moment. We're talking about a one-off [this year], which would be Japan if it happens."

For more on this story, including Carroll's plans for 2012, please see this week's issue of AUTOSPORT magazine.
