Davidson unsure of Audi potential

Peugeot driver Anthony Davidson expects a close competition between his team and Audi at Le Mans, and reckons that tyre wear could make the crucial difference between the two.
The new Audi R18 TDI prototype demonstrated great one-lap pace during its racing debut at Spa last month, but could not sustain that speed over an entire stint.
"I think we're looking after our tyres better but I'm not sure how or why," Davidson told AUTOSPORT.
"We saw at Spa that Audi were quick in qualifying and on ultimate pace on fresh tyres, but we had perhaps the stronger package in race trim, so we could continue to drive at 100 per cent throughout the whole race - which I'm not sure they were able to do.
"But I still feel they have a lot of potential in their car that's yet to be unleashed, although I'm not sure whether they're ready to do that here, either. Hopefully it's going to be close, like it was at Spa, and the fans will get a good show."
