Sebastien Ogier has taken the lead of Rally Argentina after Jari-Matti Latvala's Ford sustained a broken compression strut on SS13.
The Finn was fending off charging Citroen driver Ogier until the problem struck.
Despite the breakage, Latvala reached the end of the stage but lost 21.8 seconds to Ogier and now trails the Frenchman by 11.2s in the overall standings.
Latvala is now attempting to fix the problem on the road section before SS14.
Petter Solberg remains third, but is now just 4.2s behind Latvala with two more stages to go before the end of today's leg.
