Luciano Bacheta has completed a late deal to join the Ralf Schumacher-affiliated RSC Mucke Motorsport team's GP3 line-up ahead of this weekend's season-opener in Turkey.
The 21-year-old Briton was the runner-up in last year's Formula Renault Eurocup and a McLaren AUTOSPORT BRDC Award finalist.
Although Bacheta had a DTM try-out with Mucke over the winter, he has not run in any of the GP3 tests - but he is confident he can overcome this disadvantage.
"It is very exciting for me to join a team which has proven strength in GP3," said Bacheta, who is managed by Anthony Hamilton. "I know that it will be tough as I have had no pre-season testing, but I am confident that I will learn quickly with such a resourceful and effective team behind me."
Bacheta joins second-year GP3 drivers Nigel Melker and Michael Christensen at Mucke.
