Peugeot back on top at night
Peugeot returned to the top in Thursday's night practice session for the Sebring 12 Hours
After being quickest in the first official test at the start of the week, Peugeot had been slightly behind arch-rival Audi in all the following sessions, although the frontrunners' pace never quite matched that set in the opening test.
During the after-dark session, Peugeot showed its hand a little more, with Anthony Davidson leading the way in the #7 car on a 1m48.901s.
The #2 Audi of Dindo Capello, Tom Kristensen and Allan McNish was next up, just under half a second adrift, followed by the #8 Peugeot and #1 Audi. The ORECA Peugeot completed an all-diesel top six.
Fastest petrol car was Muscle Milk's Lola-Aston Martin, repaired after its morning practice fire and sixth quickest ahead of Highcroft and Rebellion.
Signature's LMP2 dominance was finally broken as Ryan Hunter-Reay took Level 5's Lola-Honda to the fastest time in class by 0.462s over Soheil Ayari in the ORECA-Nissan.
Ferrari moved to the front in GT, taking four of the top five places. Scott Sharp was fastest in Extreme Speed's 458, with the #04 Corvette disturbing the Italian cars' formation in second, followed by the Risi, AF Corse and Luxury Ferraris. The marque was strong in GTE Am too, where Krohn's F430 was fastest ahead of the CRS example.
CORE Autosport's Ryan Dalziel and Alex Job Racing's Leh Keen led the way in the one-make LMPC and GTC classes respectively.
