The Mofaz Racing Formula Renault 3.5 team has announced Jake Rosenzweig as its first signing of 2011.
The American brings the experience of having raced with last year's drivers' championship-winning team Carlin.
A commanding pole in the wet at Spa was the highlight of Rosenzweig's 2010 season, in which he finished a lowly 19th in the drivers' standings.
Renault Formula 1 reserve driver Fairuz Fauzy's team competed as Junior Lotus Racing last year. In addition to the name change, Mofaz has undergone an engineering overhaul over the winter, and has brought in respected former Ultimate team manager Johnny Ostrowski.
Speaking to AUTOSPORT, Ostrowski commented: "It's good for us that Jake is in his second year. Hopefully he has had a good education at Carlin. I think we have some really excellent engineers on board, and I am sure that, with the right team of people around him, Jake can build on last season's achievements."
