Hispania to test Mondini on Sunday

Giorgio MondiniGiorgio Mondini will test for the Hispania Racing team at Barcelona on Sunday, the Spanish squad said.

The Swiss driver will run with the team in the afternoon, when he takes over from Indian Narain Karthikeyan at the wheel of the squad's 2010 car.

Thirty-year-old Mondini had made his Formula 1 debut back in 2005, when he tested a Renault R25 as a reward for winning the Formula Renault V6 series.

He was the third driver for the MF1 Racing team back in 2006, when Hispania boss Colin Kolles was in charge of the squad.

He also raced a Kolles-run Audi in the Le Mans 24 Hours in 2009.

Hispania, which is yet to announce its second racing driver, tested Tonio Liuzzi today.
