Stage 14: Gronholm still holding on
Marcus Gronholm continues to lead the Rally of Portugal but his advantage over Richard Burns is now down to 11.5s
Burns was fastest on stage 14, Gois 1, just as he had been on every stage so far today. The Subaru driver is staging a spectacular comeback drive after losing a lot of time with power steering problems yesterday.
Further back, Ford's increasingly impressive junior driver Petter Solberg has inched ahead of Harri Rovanpera to take fourth. The young Norweigan is regularly matching the times of his former champion team mate Carlos Sainz.
Francois Delecour lost time on the stage with a fuel pressure problem but held sixth place after those immediately behind him struck trouble.
Kenneth Eriksson stopped on the stage with a clutch problem, ending an immensely promising performance by the new Hyundai Accent.
SEAT's Didier Auriol lost more time, after a puncture on ss13 he then suffered steering problems and has dropped to tenth, behind Adruzilo Lopes in the first privateer Peugeot 206 WRC.
