Seven-time World Rally champion Sebastien Loeb has won the Rally Driver of the Year prize at this year's AUTOSPORT Awards.
The award was collected by fellow WRC legend Ari Vatanen as Loeb was unable to attend.
"His talent is phenomenal," said Vatanen of Loeb.
After seeing his run of title victories almost ended by Mikko Hirvonen in 2009, Loeb responded in emphatic style this year.
With eight victories from the season's 13 rallies, the Citroen driver was able to wrap-up his seventh consecutive championship on home ground in France with two events to spare, having taken his WRC victory tally to an incredible 62 rally wins along the way.
Tonight's success was the fifth time that AUTOSPORT's readers have voted Loeb the season's top rally driver, and marked a double for the Citroen team - which had received the Rally Car of the Year Award for its C4 a few minutes earlier.
