The Hispania Racing team has been fined $5,000 for an incident involving Sakon Yamamoto during practice for the Korean Grand Prix.
The Japanese driver was released from his garage with a tyre warmer still attached to the car, and a team personnel entered the pit exit to recover the warmer, breaching articles 23.1(j), 30.7 and 30.9 of the sporting regulations.
"It is the responsibility of the competitor to release his car after a pitstop only when it is safe to do so," states article 23.1.
Hispania was fined and given a reprimand after the session.
