Two-hour delay for MotoGP practice

MotoGP practice at Phillip Island will start just under two hours later than scheduled at 3.50pm local time.

Heavy overnight rain had caused flooding at the Australian track, with Turn 11 particularly badly affected and significant amounts of sand left on the track once the water had cleared.

125cc practice is now commencing on a still-wet circuit, and amid extremely strong winds and very cold temperatures. The weather forecast is poor for both today and tomorrow's qualifying sessions.
