Hispania fined for pitlane incident

Sakon Yamamoto, HRT, Italian GPThe Hispania Racing team has been fined $20,000 for the incident in which a mechanic was injured during the Italian GP.

A mechanic from the Spanish squad had to be taken to the medical centre after being knocked down by the right rear wheel of Sakon Yamamoto's car as the Japanese drove out following his stop.

The "lollipop" had been lifted for Yamamoto to move before the mechanic had finished working on the car.

As a consequence of the incident, the team was fined $20,000 for the unsafe release of its driver.
