Gene excluded from Zolder victory

Jordi Gene has been stripped of victory in Sunday's first World Touring Car race at Zolder.

The SEAT driver was reprimanded earlier today for lining up out of position for the rolling start - he crossed the line before pole-sitter Gabriele Tarquini.

But he was later disqualified altogether when his car failed to pass scrutineering after the race because the air restrictor on his SEAT Leon TDi was found not to conform with the regulations.

Gene's exclusion promotes his SR Sport team-mate Tarquini to first and the Chevrolets of Yvan Muller and Alain Menu to second and third.
