Long-time Dyson Racing prototype driver Butch Leitzinger is to switch to the American Le Mans Series' GT Challenge class this year as part of Alex Job Racing's return to the championship.
Leitzinger, whose achievements in his long and successful sportscar career include three Daytona 24 Hours victories, will share Job's #81 Porsche GT3 car with Juan Gonzalez. The team will field a second car for Bill Sweedler and Romeo Kapudija.
AJR claimed three ALMS GT class titles in the early 2000s and is also a double GT2 class winner at Le Mans, but has concentrated on Grand-Am in recent years.
"We are looking forward to returning to the American Le Mans Series and running the full schedule," said Job.
"In the time that we were in the series we were very successful with the Porsche factory, as well as on our own. We have assembled two strong cars and four great drivers to run for the GTC championship."
Dyson has yet to announce the full details of its 2010 plans, but it has continued testing its Lola-Mazda at Sebring in recent weeks and has switched to Dunlop tyres for this year.
