Stage six cancelled due to protests

Stage six of the Rally Australia had to be cancelled due to the actions of environmental protesters.

The CTEK East stage had been expected to be the centre of any action by the protesters, who had previously failed in a court bid to prevent the rally taking place on ecological grounds.

The organisers stopped SS6 before the first competitive run through the stage after rocks were thrown onto the course. The stage is currently scheduled to be run again later today as SS11.
