Toro Rosso to unveil STR4 next week

Toro Rosso have announced that they will launch their new car at the Catalunya circuit on 9 March prior to the start of the next pre-season test.

The STR4, which is based on the Red Bull RB5, has been shaken down in a private session at the Adria track in Italy this week, and will be officially unveiled next Monday morning before testing alongside the rest of the field for the first time.

STR traditionally have to launch their cars later than most as they have to wait to receive chassis from parent company Red Bull Technologies.

Last year the second-string team began the season with their 2007 car - although once they had got to grips with their new machine they went on to out-perform Red Bull Racing and take a shock victory at Monza with Sebastian Vettel.

Sebastien Bourdais was recently confirmed for a second season with Toro Rosso, while Sebastien Buemi has been promoted from GP2 to replace Red Bull-bound Vettel.
