Dutch team fastest in final practice

Team Netherlands gave the wind-battered home fans something to cheer by topping the second A1GP practice session at Zandvoort

Track specialist Jeroen Bleekemolen was a comfortable 0.6sec clear of defending champions Team Switzerland and Neel Jani.

The rain held off for the one-hour session, but the track was still damp in places, and there were numerous spinners - and two red flags. Team Italy's Fabio Onidi ended his session in the gravel, but there were fortunately no damaged cars given the near-total lack of spares.

Session one crasher John Martin made it out for the final few minutes of practice two after Team Australia fixed his damaged left rear wheel and wishbone, but the yellow and green Powered by Ferrari machine stopped on track on his second flying lap.

Team USA made their first appearance. Charlie Kimball was fourth fastest just over a second off the pace.

The France, China, and Portugal cars are yet to turn a wheel with the one-hour qualifying session next up on the constantly shifting schedule.
