Selleslagh Corvette repaired for start

Christophe Bouchut in the Sellaslagh Corvette at SpaThe Selleslagh Corvette will start this afternoon's 24 Hours of Spa after the team repaired the damage caused by Christophe Bouchut in a shunt during night qualifying on Thursday.

Bouchut was taken to hospital following the accident but has been passed fir to race. He had already set a time good enough for fourth on the grid and is keen to repay the team's work with a good race alongside Xavier Maassen, Maxime Soulet, and Christophe Pillon.

"I didn't want to stay in hospital, my place was with the boys," said Bouchut. "My first thoughts after the crash went to them because they've worked so hard for the last couple of weeks. We now have to perform strongly in the race, that's the only correct way to thank them."

Team boss Patrick Selleslagh added: "It's difficult to express my feelings, the boys did such a wonderful job to repair the car and I can hardly imagine a way to say thank you."
