Jenson Button has signed up to compete in the Race of Champions at Wembley Stadium for the second successive year.
The Honda F1 driver is the first to sign up for Team Autosport Great Britain, which will attempt to win the Nations Cup title from reigning champions Germany.
Last year Button and three-time World Touring Car champion Andy Priaulx took Team England to the semi final, where they were knocked out by Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel.
Button will also be going for solo glory in the main Race of Champions event after being knocked out, again by Schumacher, in 2007.
"I never thought I'd be able to say I'd compete for my country against Germany at Wembley," said Button. "But it was great to do that last year. The crowd were awesome and as soon as I heard that Schumacher and Vettel had signed up for Germany again, I knew I had to come back and take them on.
"Last year was the first time I'd done the Race of Champions and, although it's all a bit of fun and we say it doesn't matter who wins, I was gutted that we lost out to the German team.
"It's the one chance a year where we all get to compete against each other in identical cars and I'm determined to help Britain through to the final this time."
There will be two British teams this year, rather than the English and Scottish teams that entered in 2007. The remaining three British drivers are yet to be confirmed.
