Tagliani eyeing PKV drive

Champ Car veteran Alex Tagliani is hoping to land a drive with PKV Racing this season and will test with the team at Sebring next weekend.

The 35-year-old Canadian drove for RSPORTS last season and finished 10th in the standings, one place behind PKV's Neel Jani.

Tagliani is hoping to join Spaniard Oriol Servia at the team.

He said: "It would be a dream come true for me to be with PKV in 2008.

"The team is capable of winning the championship and I think I can help them get there. First we need to have a good test at Sebring and see where things go from there."

PKV boss Mark Johnson added: "Alex has consistently placed among the leaders over the years and testing him will give us a chance to see how he meshes with our team as we search for a second driver."
