Duval hopes to extend Stobart deal
Francois Duval hopes that his one-off drive with the Stobart Ford team in Monte Carlo could lead to more outings in the future
The Belgian will drive a fourth Ford Focus alongside the team's regular drivers, and at the moment the deal is only for one event.
"This is a true gift that has fallen from the sky, something that is normal at this time of year!" said Duval.
"I hope this collaboration will continue after Monte Carlo but for that to happen it will be necessary for me to get a good result."
Duval didn't compete in the event last year, so he believes that his preparation will be crucial if he is to be on the pace next month.
"Now I wait impatiently for the first tests before the rally, because I missed this event last year," he added.
"I owe this chance to Steven Vergalle, who on a purely private basis, has decided to support me. The crew will be 100 per cent Belgian, as my co-driver is Eddy Chevalier, who already has good experience of the world championship."
