The family of the late world rally champion Colin McRae have announced details of a Service of Celebration that will be held in his memory on Sunday 30 September.
McRae's funeral will take place in private, but the service of celebration for both Colin and his son Johnny will be open to the public.
It will take place in the High Street of the family's home town of Lanark at 4pm. The service itself will be held in St. Nicholas Church, and relayed into the High Street for the benefit of the anticipated crowds.
Strathclyde Police have urged those planning to attend to allow plenty of time for their journey as large numbers are expected.
McRae and his son died, along with two family friends, in a helicopter crash on 15 September.
