Nick Heidfeld will continue to take part in this weekend's French Grand Prix, despite the back pains that limited his running on Friday.
The German suffered a repeat of the pains that forced him to pull out of Silverstone testing during the afternoon session at Magny-Cours. After seeing doctors there had been fears that he could be forced to withdraw from the event.
But a team spokesman confirmed to autosport.com on Saturday morning that Heidfeld was okay to continue after receiving treatment.
Doctors put down his pains to a muscle cramp in his back and they believe there should be no repeat of the problems.
