Moreau acknowledges fitness deficit

Guillaume Moreau believes that he needs to improve his fitness if he is to race in Champ Car next year

The F3 Euro Series driver set his sights on racing in America towards the end of this year, and had his maiden test with Conquest Racing last month.

He tested alongside countryman Alexandre Premat, and while he impressed the team, he was unable to match the performance of the GP2 race winner.

"Alex was a good benchmark for me because of his experience," said Moreau. "Unfortunately, I wasn't too fit when the track got faster and faster.

"On day two I couldn't use the improving track conditions as well as Alex did, but the test went better than expected."

After experiencing the American approach to racing, Moreau has said that he definitely felt comfortable on the other side of the Atlantic.

"I like the American way of racing, everyone is more relaxed there," he said.

Moreau finished tenth in the F3 Euro Series this year, with his best result of second coming in the second race of the year at Hockenheim.
