Darren Manning could still feature for Team Great Britain during the current A1GP season, according to the team.
The 31-year-old first raced for the team in China back in April, and he took part in the opening race of this season at Zandvoort.
Since then team boss John Surtees has opted to use Robbie Kerr and Oliver Jarvis, and both have scored podium finishes.
Manning recently declared his interest to autosport.com in racing for the team again, and the team have confirmed that he is still part of their plans.
Team GBR chief engineer James Robinson told autosport.com: "Darren is still in the picture, but he has another contract now, and at the moment we don't know how that effects things."
Manning signed a deal to race in the IndyCar Series full-time with AJ Foyt racing in November.
When he joined the Team GBR ranks he didn't have any other commitments, so the team now need to find out how his new deal affects his availability.
