German driver Sebastian Vettel will travel to the Turkish Grand Prix as the BMW Sauber team plan to use him as their third driver.
The German team, however, are still waiting for Vettel to get the required superlicence so he can run on Friday with their third car.
"Sebastian Vettel will be in Istanbul. We hope that we will get the licence for him in time," a BMW spokesman told autosport.com.
F3 Euroseries front-runner Vettel, who made his Formula One debut in testing with the Williams team in September, last drove a Grand Prix car when he tested with BMW at the Jerez circuit in July.
BMW have been without a third driver since Robert Kubica replaced Jacques Villeneuve at the wheel of the second racing car alongside Nick Heidfeld.
