Brawn silent on future plans

Ferrari technical director Ross Brawn has interestingly not denied that he is planning to take a sabbatical from Formula One next year.

This week's Autosport revealed that Brawn will take a year away from the sport before considering his future options. The Briton has been Ferrari's technical director since the start of 1997.

When asked to comment on the story at the Hungarian Grand Prix, Brawn said that nothing would be confirmed about his future until the end of the season. The team are set to reveal their structure at the end of the year.

"If we want to have a discussion about this (his future), it will be short," explained Brawn. "We have said we will make the plans of the team known at the end of the season and that is when we will make it clear what our plans are for the future.

"We will certainly not make any comment before then and we will concentrate on winning the championship."
