Jordan welcomes end of Fisichella dispute

Former team boss Eddie Jordan has welcomed the private settlement of a dispute between himself and Giancarlo Fisichella over unpaid wages from 2003 - although regrets that the matter was ever brought into the public domain.
Fisichella had decided to take legal action against Jordan after previous attempts to resolve the matter had not been successful.
The imminent threat of going to court appeared to act as a catalyst to finding a solution and, as autosport.com revealed last weekend, Jordan and his former driver subsequently reached a settlement to sort out the situation.
In a statement issued by Jordan on Monday, he said that his long friendship with Fisichella had been a factor in sorting out their differences.
"In view of our long-standing friendship, Giancarlo and I have resolved this matter privately," said Jordan. "Giancarlo won his first race with Jordan and it turned out to be our team's last victory.
"So we have a special relationship and we're both disappointed that this matter was ever made public. Thankfully it's all resolved."
