Tagliani forced to miss qualifying

Alex Tagliani will have to sit out qualifying for the Milwaukee round of the Champ Car World Series after his crash in practice.
The Team Australia driver was fastest when he hit the Turn 4 wall twenty minutes into this morning's session.
He required seven stitches in his hand after the accident, but the main problem was Team Australia's lack of a spare car.
Tagliani's primary chassis requires an extensive rebuild that will prevent him from participating in this afternoon's qualifying session. He will be allowed to start from the back of the grid tomorrow, however.
