Barcelona puts final tickets on sale

Formula One fans hoping to attend this year's Spanish Grand Prix will have the last chance to get tickets later week when returns go on sale.

With Fernando Alonso's title success ensuring a sell-out, Circuit de Catalunya bosses have already done everything they can to increase capacity at the venue. They have added 12,000 seats for this year's event, all of which were snapped up quickly.

However, unwanted tickets from cancellations by agencies and tour operators means there will be one final chance to get hold of grandstand seats. The final 1,200 tickets are due to go on sale this Thursday.

Ramon Maltas, the track's Operations Manager, said: "We haven't increased the circuit's capacity again. These tickets come from members who have not renewed their card or cancellations of reservations by tour operator and agencies.

"There aren't tickets available for pelouse (standing) areas, and the circuit's capacity will not be increased any more."

Tickets are available from the circuit's website.
