Renault have confirmed that newly crowned World Series by Renault champion Robert Kubica will have a test with the team at Barcelona on December 2.
The Pole, who gets the test as a prize for winning the Renault-backed series, had hoped to drive Minardi's third car at this weekend's Chinese Grand Prix but was not granted a super-licence.
"This is a very important opportunity for me," he said. "It will be my first drive in a Formula One car and I hope it will be not the last. Of course this test comes as a prize for my title in the World Series by Renault, but I will be focusing on completing as many laps as possible."
Former Formula Renault Eurocup V6 champion Giorgio Mondini will also test the Renault at Barcelona in the same test.
