McLaren denies Kreyer move
McLaren-Mercedes has denied that it has offered a position to Norbert Kreyer, general manager of Toyota's engine department for the past five years
Speaking in Montreal, McLaren team boss Ron Dennis said: "I can tell you that I am not too sure where his mind is, but while I haven't been directly involved I am fully aware of the circumstances surrounding that particular individual and I can categorically state that he has not been offered any position within a part of this racing team.
"Has there been discussions between people representing our organisation? Yes. But you could say that about anybody in the pitlane who has something to contribute to the performance of our team. It is not uncommon for people to move around in this sport and when we approach people it is done extremely correctly. We always respect the commercial positions those people have with these companies.
"I think that possibly he (Kreyer) is so vocal because he has never been offered a position and we will never offer him one. It is a fabrication."
