WEC Mexico: Porsche edges Audi by 0.1s in final practice
Porsche edged out Audi at the top of the times in final free practice for this weekend's World Endurance Championship round in Mexico City by just over a tenth
Brendon Hartley ended up fastest in the #1 Porsche 919 Hybrid, which was 0.118s quicker than Andre Lotterer's 1m25.505s aboard the best of the Audi R18 e-tron quattros.
The second Audi was just under two tenths down in third in the hands of Lucas di Grassi with a 1m25.673s, while Neel Jani took fourth in the second Porsche.
The two Toyota TS050 HYBRIDs ended up fifth and sixth.
Kamui Kobayashi was the quickest of the Toyota drivers with a 1m26.448s, which left him just over a second off the pace. Sebastien Buemi was a further three tenths back in sixth.
The G-Drive ORECA-Nissan 05 was quickest in LMP2, Rene Rast's 1m35.555s putting him nearly half a second up on the points-leading Alpine Signatech car in the hands of Nicolas Lapierre.
The two Aston Martins led the way in GTE Pro. Richie Stanaway was quickest on a 1m39.496s, which was less than a tenth up on team-mate Marco Sorensen.
A 1m40.492s from Stefan Mucke put the best of the Ford GTs third in class.
The Abu Dhabi-Proton Porsche was quickest in GTE Am with Pat Long drivers.
