GP2 Monaco: Honda's Matushita elevated to race two pole position
Nobuharu Matsushita has been elevated to pole position for the reverse-grid Monaco GP2 race after a penalty for Antonio Giovinazzi
Marvin Kirchhofer was set for Saturday pole by virtue of finishing eighth in Friday's opening race, with Giovinazzi joining him in an all-rookie front row after taking seventh.
But a five-second penalty for gaining an advantage by cutting the chicane during the feature race dropped Giovinazzi from seventh in the results to 11th.
Kirchhofer still gets a front row start for the sprint race but being moved up to seventh in the race one results means he will now be second on the grid alongside ART's Honda protege Matsushita.
Daniel de Jong and Arthur Pic move up into the feature race top 10 as a result of Giovinazzi's demotion.
Gustav Malja was also given a post-race time penalty, in his case for cutting the track at Ste Devote, but it makes no difference to his 14th-place finish.
