WSR retains Sam Tordoff and Rob Collard for 2016 BTCC BMW team

Rob Collard and Sam Tordoff have re-signed with WSR to contest the British Touring Car Championship in 2016

The pair will drive freshly liveried BMW 125i M Sports, which will be backed by JCT600 with GardX.

It will be Collard's seventh consecutive BTCC campaign with the outfit

"I am delighted to be extending my long relationship with WSR," he said.

"I enjoyed a fast but sometimes inconsistent season in 2015, but there's little doubting that we have the ingredients to fight for championships again this season."

Team-mate Tordoff joined the squad last season and ended 2015 as WSR's top scorer in sixth in the championship.

"I really enjoyed my first season with WSR and I can't wait to get going in 2016," Tordoff said.

"Everyone at the team is so friendly, experienced and hugely talented, which is why I know this is the best place for my career.

"It was fantastic to score some wins last year but now we need to do so on a consistent basis in order to challenge for the championship."

WSR has already announced former MG driver Jack Goff will drive its other BMW.

He replaces Andy Priaulx after the three-time World Touring Car champion's move to Ford's new GT racing programme.
