Olivier Pla returns to Krohn line-up for Paul Ricard ELMS round
Nissan factory driver Oliver Pla will replace Oswaldo Negri Jr in the Krohn Racing line-up for this weekend's Paul Ricard round of the European Le Mans Series
Pla, who raced for the team in the opening rounds of the Tudor United SportsCar Championship at Daytona and Sebring, will share the squad's Ligier-Judd/BMW JSP2 together with team owner Tracy Krohn and his long-time co-driver Nic Jonsson.
The Frenchman, who led development of the Ligier coupe last year in his role as a works driver with the OAK Racing squad, was originally listed on the entry for Ricard in place of Jonsson.
Silver-rated Negri also missed the previous round of the ELMS at the Red Bull Ring in July courtesy of a clash with the USC and was replaced by G-Drive/OAK regular Julien Canal.
Team boss Krohn explained that he hoped that Pla's return would "advance us further along again".
"It will be great to have Olivier back with us at Paul Ricard this weekend," said Krohn.
"He was a big asset to us earlier this season when we first started racing the Ligier to help us learn the nuances of the new car."
Pla said that the call from Krohn had been "unexpected" and that he "really enjoyed working with the team".
"The pole for the Sebring 12 Hours and leading the first hours was a very good memory and I will give everything to continue to build on that," he continued.
