Singapore GP will be 'next opportunity' for Red Bull F1 team
Red Bull team boss Christian Horner believes his outfit will have to wait until the Singapore Grand Prix for its next potential moment of Formula 1 glory
After a troubled season littered with Renault engine failures Horner and the rest of the Red Bull team were finally able to celebrate a podium finish at the Hungaroring.
Daniil Kvyat became the second youngest driver to finish on the podium with his second place, with team-mate Daniel Ricciardo third, ending a run of 11 races without a top-three finish.
But with power-dependent circuits Spa and Monza next up, and Renault's deficit to rivals Mercedes and Ferrari, the Marina Bay street circuit in Singapore is likely to be Red Bull's next chance to perform.
"We're going to live in the moment for now and think about Spa after the break, and particularly Monza," said Horner.
"They're going to be much more challenging than Hungary, so Singapore's probably our next opportunity to shine.
"We're going to keep pushing, keep developing the car, and you never know, it could be wet at Spa.
"You've got to be in a position to capitalise on those days when it doesn't quite go right for others."
Despite the issues with Renault, Horner has at least declared himself delighted with the progress made on the aero front, with the car now far stronger going into the second half of the campaign.
"The aero boys have made some improvements around the front of the car, and mechanically there's been a bit of improvement too," added Horner.
"The regulation changes over the winter actually did hurt us with the front of the car.
"But we've now recovered from that, with the last two or three races pretty positive on the chassis side."
