DTM confirms twilight races will happen in 2015
The DTM has confirmed it will run a selection of its reintroduced Saturday races as twilight heats in the 2015 season
As revealed by AUTOSPORT last week, the series and its domestic broadcaster ARD have worked to utilise later TV windows for the races, which are being held for the first time since 2002.
Three of the nine Saturday races will start in the early evening, moving into a timeslot dominated in Germany by football's Bundesliga.
OPINION: Why the new DTM format will thrill
All 40-minutes-plus-one-lap in duration, Lausitzring's sprint will commence at 6pm local time, Zandvoort at 6.10pm and Red Bull Ring at 6.25pm.
The fourth event in the block, which is shaped by the Bundesliga off-season, Norisring's Saturday race will get underway at 4.45pm.
Pitstops are optional on Saturdays, but a tyre change is mandatory during Sunday's hour-plus-one-lap races, with grids for both to be set by standalone qualifying sessions.
Traditional start times between 1.30pm and 3.30pm local time have been retained for the remaining races, other than August's visit to Moscow, which has been scheduled for broadcast in Germany within that window.
