Barber IndyCar: Will Power tops practice two for Penske
Will Power led a Penske one-two in the second practice session for this weekend's IndyCar race at Barber Motorsports Park
The reigning series champion was one of several drivers to take a turn at the top of the sheets, and made the spot his own late on with a best time of 1m.07.2913, beating team-mate Helio Castroneves by 0.2 seconds.
Scott Dixon, who was fastest in the morning's first session, denied Penske a top-three sweep by finishing up just ahead of Simon Pagenaud.
Once again, Chevrolet cars occupied the top six places, with NOLA winner James Hinchcliffe going fastest of the Honda entries.
Elsewhere, it was an eventful session for CFH's Luca Filippi, who led the times early on, and then later brought out a brief red flag when he spun and stalled with five minutes remaining. The Italian was still quick enough to end the session eighth-fastest.
Filippi's spin followed an earlier indiscretion by series debutant Rodolfo Gonzalez, who triggered the reds when he looped his Coyne car to a halt in the middle of the track. The Venezuelan was restarted and completed the session.
