Conor Daly joins Schmidt Peterson for 2015 Indianapolis 500
Conor Daly will return to the Indianapolis 500 next month after securing a ride with Schmidt Peterson Motorsports
The deal comes two years after he made his IndyCar debut at the 2013 500 with AJ Foyt's team.
The 23-year-old former GP2 regular said that he is looking forward to rekindling a relationship with Schmidt that began with a partial Indy Lights season in 2011.
"I have had a great relationship with Sam Schmidt ever since driving for him in Indy Lights, and I have always wanted a shot with his IndyCar team," Daly said.
"I can't thank everyone enough who have put in all the hours to pull this programme together.
"I'm confident we will all benefit from this relationship going forward, and I can't wait to get to work on the track."
Daly was a late addition to the grid for last weekend's race in Long Beach, where he was called up by Dale Coyne Racing on the Saturday morning to replace the injured Rocky Moran Jr.
