Button: 'Moby' theft was my 2000 low!
Jenson Button has revealed the biggest disappointment of his debut season in Formula 1 - losing his mobile phone
Whizz-kid Button has made a blistering start to his Grand Prix career, collecting an impressive 12 points to lie eighth in the world championship for Williams-BMW.
With a Benetton seat his for 2001, he said there is little he would change - except catching the thief who took his mobile while he was on holiday in Malaysia with his physio and his father, John.
"It is really annoying because there were some really important numbers in it. I just left the table for three minutes to buy my father a beer and when I came back it was gone," said Button.
Button is gunning to round out the season with the first podium of his career and steal seventh place in the drivers' championship from Jacques Villeneuve, who has a three-point advantage.
"I want to beat Jacques here. It would be great fun to have a good battle with him and I'm going to tell him what my target is before the race.
"Life has been good this year. There has been nothing that I have not enjoyed. Every race has been a highlight for me and everything has exceeded my expectations," he added.
"Being third at Spa was great and I also really enjoyed Japan. I qualified well there and finished in the points on a difficult circuit. Those two races were the highlight of my year."
But after 17 tough races, Button confessed: "I am really looking forward to a break. Before this, I never really worked. Formula 3 was a doss [very easy] and Formula Ford was a doss too.
"The last time that I found work hard was in 1997, when I was karting in Europe. This has easily been the toughest year of my life."
