American star Tanner Foust will compete at four rounds of the World Rallycross Championship this season, as part his diverse programme of events for 2015.

Racing a Marklund Motorsport Volkswagen Polo RX Supercar, Foust's first appearance of the season will be at the British round of World RX at Lydden Hill.

He will also race at the Canadian round at Trios-Rivieres, Loheac in France and at the Circuit de Catalunya in Spain.

"I'm looking forward to being able to return to the World Rallycross Championship for a select season of events this year," he said.

"The tracks in the series are incredible and I'm especially looking forward to the Lydden Hill event, there is something special about racing at the home of rallycross."

Foust has twice won at the British venue in a Ford Fiesta (2012, 2013), and last season he won the Finnish round of the series at Kouvola in a Marklund Polo, having switched from Ford to Volkswagen for 2014.

He also raced an Andretti Motorsport run VW Beetle Supercar in the Global Rallycross Championship last year, and will race in the American-based series again this season.

Alongside his rallycross commitments, Foust will contest the X Games at the Circuit of the Americas in June, and make selected appearances in Formula Drift and the LORRS (Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series) in the United States.

"I'm going back to my roots with drifting, racing in rallycross, scraping the rust off some road racing skills, and continuing to learn more about off-road racing," he said.

"For me, it's important to stay in touch with these different disciplines, especially as I'm working with Volkswagen on developing some exciting new project cars."
